Manufactured by Alanod, the Solarise light pipe (MIRO-SILVER) is one of the best performing in the industry. Most of the competition uses lower grade light pipe, thinner gauged or less reflective material.

Comparison between MIRO-SILVER® and Multi-layer Polymeric Film (MPF)
Alanod tested its MIRO-SILVER light pipe (used on all Solarise tube skylight models) against the more standard Multi-layer Polymeric Film (MPF). The tests were conducted with the suns angle at 13.8 and 40 degrees on a 10 foot long x 12" diameter tube. MIRO-SILVER light pipes transmit much more light between zero and 45 degrees when usuable light is really needed!
